Sara Fleiszig is an experimental fine art photographer and researcher focusing on the relationship between mother and daughter. Tactile engagement and organic processes are deeply important to her work as they allow for a more intimate connection between the viewer and her images. She has specifically taken an interest in sentimental female objects and traits. She is currently based in Kitchener Waterloo, Ontario. Sara enjoys a good croissant.

A recent graduate student from the photography stream of the Film and Photography Preservation and Collections Management program at Toronto Metropolitan University (University X, Ryerson University), Sara is focusing on investigating new sustainable practices within the preservation and exhibition of photographic objects in areas such as energy consumption, repurposed building materials and digital documentation. Sara has taken a particular interest in the collection and exhibition of family photo albums and their interchangeable contextual needs.
